The Portland area is about to get a new gelato collaboration, and it's got us all excited! Otto Gelato & Espresso, a new gelateria and coffee shop, is opening at the Mercato Grove in Lake Oswego. This new venture is a collaboration between Clark Hale, the owner of Pizzeria Otto, and the team behind Pronto Gelato, including Andrea Spella and George Kaden. The goal is to bring a little bit of Italian flair to the area, with classic and seasonal gelato flavors, as well as fruit sorbettos. The team is also bringing their coffee expertise to the table, so you can expect some delicious espresso-based drinks to go with your gelato. The first rotating flavor will be a Hugo Spritz sorbetto, a classic Italian cocktail made with St. Germain and a touch of mint. This new gelateria is sure to be a hit with locals, offering a unique and delicious treat that's perfect for a hot summer day. With Pizzeria Otto already a beloved neighborhood institution, we can't wait to see what Otto Gelato & Espresso brings to the table.
